People Over Money is a social justice campaign advocating for the recognition of gentrification in major cities.

City of Angels/Gentrification is a tourism style brochure highlighting the excessive spending in the Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) area, merely minutes from Skid Row: a neighborhood with the largest homeless population in California – and the world.

Challenge:


Conducting extensive research on a complex socio-economic issue, and then translating it into a design language that supports the call to action.


Goal:


Bringing awareness to the negative consequences of gentrification in Los Angeles.
